Though mid-spring, conditions in Belgium have been mostly chilly and wet with April not having even one "spring day" – defined as having temperatures of 20°C or more. Thursday marks a change for the better with a fairly sunny day and highs of up to 24°C.
The mostly sunny day will give way to high cloud cover later on, with a few localised showers. The evening will cool to between 10°C and 12°C with moderate winds.
But the warmth and dry won't hold, with Thursday's clear blue skies giving way to clouds and showers on Friday with temperatures up to 18°C or 19°C and moderate winds.
Unfortunately, a sunny and warm weekend in Belgium isn't yet on the cards. Saturday will be cooler with temperatures up to around 17°C but will start off mostly dry and with some sun. Clouds will increase during the day and rain is expected across the country. During the night, occasional intense showers are expected.

Sunday will start with occasional intense showers which will become less intense and clear up during the day. Temperatures will reach a maximum of 16°C in the centre.
While the temperatures are rising slowly, Thursday is exceptional and offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy a drink on a terras at one of Brussels' best terrace bars.
