To celebrate ten years of reign in Belgium, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are inviting 600 citizens from across the country for a 'garden party' at the royal domain in Laeken on Saturday 13 May.
The garden party will take the guests to various artistic stops through the Royal Park and the Royal Greenhouses. During the walk and the festive reception, guests can also meet the royal couple.
"The five performances – from classical music and acrobatics to dance, choir and magic – put the cultural wealth of our country in the spotlight," the Royal Palace announced.
The 600 guests will be chosen by the governors and come from all ten provinces. These citizens have all meant something to Belgium and have never visited the Royal couple.

The five performances concern a musical performance by the classical ensemble 'Young Belgian Strings' and the magician Donovan. The circus school of Brussels, the Opera Ballet of Flanders, and the children's and youth choir of La Monnaie will also show their skills.
The guests are advised to dress quite formally. "They cannot show up in a pair of jeans. They will also obviously be walking, so appropriate shoes are especially important."
