Two Belgians and a Dutch woman have narrowly escaped death after being attacked by an ibex, a type of wild goat, in Spain, Het Laatste Nieuws reports.
The aggressive ibex knocked a 64-year-old Dutch tourist off a cliff, sending them falling 20 metres. She landed on a ledge above a steep cliff. The woman sustained two broken wrists.
Due to bad weather, the helicopter had to suspend its search operation for the woman at around 21:00. The rescuers on the mountain managed to reach the woman later during the night.
Moments after the Dutch woman was shoved down the cliff, two Belgian tourists were also attacked by the ibex.
One of them lost consciousness and sustained injuries all over his body, while another was slightly injured while running away. Both men were transported to the hospital by helicopter.
