A tragic accident has claimed the life of a young girl near Frameries, in the Walloon province of Hainaut, RTL Info reports. At around 23:00 on Saturday, the young girl was knocked down by a car while leaving a restaurant.
Stepping out from the “Le Dolce Grill” restaurant, she was hit by a car while attempting to cross the road to go to the family car. The young child was violently struck by a vehicle and was killed instantly.
Emergency services attempted to resuscitate the girl, but to no avail. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene.
“The little girl was at the restaurant with an adult and her little sister,” mayor of Frameries Jan-March Dupont told Sudinfo. “The vehicle arrived and tried to avoid them without success. The little one was hit. The prosecutor’s office has descended on the scene. An investigation will be carried out in due course.”
