Korean Culture Days, a Korean cultural festival organised by the Korean Cultural Centre in Brussels, is set to come to Brussels' Place de Brouckère on 17-18 June, bringing Korean sounds, culture, and flavours to Belgium.

Spectators will be able to enjoy performances from world-famous K-pop groups, such as solo artist Paul Kim, girl group CSR, and boy group OnlyOneOf. Attendees will also be able to shop for K-pop merchandise and other Korean goods.

The organisers will set up a "Hallyu (wave) Town" on the square, paying homage to the popularity of Korean culture, which has been popularised in recent years by a fresh interest in Korean pop culture, arts, and language. A total of 40 stalls will be open to the public.

The event will also offer a range of activities to visitors, including traditional Korean games, including the famous "Red Light, Green Light," and a wide culinary selection thanks to four of Brussels' best Korean restaurants. Guests taking part in the activities have a chance to win prizes.

"In addition, you can also visit the stand of the Korean Cultural Centre, one of the most active artistic institutions in Brussels, and find out about the different programmes," the event staff say.

Organisers say that the event will be "a whole package of Korean culture" with four different K-pop groups. "It's never happened in Belgium before," they note.

The event comes as Korea celebrates its 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations with the European Union. Korea is also attempting to gain political support to host the 2030 World Expo in the southern Korean city of Busan.
