A young man was beaten on Friday evening in Vresse-sur-Semois after hitting a 60-year-old man with a baseball bat, the Namur public prosecutor's office reports.
The young man, who is reportedly used to speeding in his car, became upset when the older local resident gestured to him to slow down. The young driver then went home to fetch a baseball bat with which he knocked the old man down.
A neighbour, who witnessed the scene, then intervened. He broke down the door of the young driver's home, grabbed him, knocked him to the ground and beat him up. A statement of offence was later issued against the neighbour.
A warrant has been issued for the young driver's arrest and he will be brought before an examining magistrate on Saturday.
