A mortar from the Second World War was discovered on Thursday evening in Ezemaal, in the municipality of Landen (Flemish Brabant). The Explosive Device Disposal and Destruction Service (Sedee) was dispatched to the site, according to local police.

The mortar was found on the edge of the Sint-Jobstraat. Firefighters and police came to the scene and notified the Sedee, who found that it was a safe artillery object.
