The Belgian Cats basketball team will celebrate their recent EuroBasket Women's win at the City of Brussels' town hall on Tuesday, where they will be paraded on the balcony, overlooking the capital's Grand Place.
The ceremony is being held two days after the team's historic win on Sunday when they made Belgian basketball history and were crowned champions of the European competition.
They first had to overcome the Spanish national basketball team in the EuroBasket Women's final on Sunday, duly beating them 66-58 to win Belgium's first-ever international title in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana.
The Belgian Cats will now be treated to a ceremony in their honour at the City of Brussels' town hall on Tuesday. The team will be welcomed by Brussels' Mayor Philippe Close at 18:30 before beginning a parade at 19:15.
Tweet translation: "The Belgian Cats on top of the town hall? Let's go! Join us from 18.30 this Tuesday at the Grand Place to celebrate our European champions! DJ sets, a walkabout and meet-and-greet with fans are all on the programme."
Any fans wishing to attend the historic event have been advised to come to the capital's Grand Place. A celebration has also been planned for Thursday.
