Road traffic in central Brussels will be disrupted on Wednesday and Friday on the occasion of the Ommegang parade, Brussels police announced on Wednesday.
“Traffic jams are expected in the town centre,” the police warned on Twitter.

Each year, thousands of performers descend on Brussels’ Grand Place for a celebration honouring the welcome of Holy Roman Emperor Charles V and his son Philippe II to Brussels.
Horseback riders, musicians, soldiers, fences, and arquebusiers will parade through the streets of the city centre before finishing on the Grand Place.
Traffic will be disrupted on Place de la Justice, Place du Grand Sablon, Rue de la Régence, Place Royale, Place des Palais, Place Saint-Jean, Place Agora, Rue du Marché aux Herbes, Rue du Midi, Rue des Moineaux, and Rue de l’Etuve.
