Due to the announced storm, the parks in Brussels will remain closed from 16:00 on Tuesday. If the weather conditions make it possible, the parks will be opened again from Wednesday morning.
The Brussels Environment Agency advised to avoid all regional green spaces (parks and forests), "and in particular the environment of trees", due to the announced storm weather.
"The gated parks will remain closed this afternoon and will be reopened on Wednesday morning after inspection, clearance and security," the agency said. "In the open parks, a message will be posted at the entrances and the park rangers will inform the population," they added.
The Royal Meteorological Institute issued a code orange for the weather, which means it anticipates intense storms with heavy rain, hail, and damaging gusts of wind.
