At the end of June, the Bruxelles-Capitale Region had 85,605 job seekers and an unemployment rate of 15.3%, Actiris stated on Tuesday.
It is the 56th consecutive fall, the agency enthused. In comparison to last year, the rate fell by 3.3% or 2,936 less job seekers.
Youth unemployment has also been on the decline for 73 months and continued to drop below the recently crossed 20% mark, with a rate of 18.7% or 7,167 young job seekers, which was 9% less than at the same time last year.
At the end of June, Flanders had 175,068 job seekers (-4.7% over the year), including 30,432 young people under 25 (-4.2%), according to figures from the Flemish employment office VDAB.
