During ticket checks at the Gare Du Nord tram stop in Brussels on Monday, a passenger attacked two STIB agents, biting them, La Dernière Heure reports.
At around 13:00, agents boarded the number 3 tram at the train station tram stop. The woman reportedly refused to cooperate with agents before being forced out of the tram.
The woman then flew into a rage, allegedly biting two STIB agents. Law enforcement officers intervened and took the woman away. The STIB inspectors were only slightly injured.
Violence against transport workers is increasingly common. On Friday, a De Lijn employee was bitten and another punched in the Brussels municipality of Etterbeek by an irate passenger.
