Police issued a wanted notice on Wednesday for the perpetrator of a violent robbery at a jeweller’s shop in Liège whose owner was later found dead at the foot of a quarry.
The events took place on 15 July, between 6.40 p.m. and 7 p.m., in a jewellery store on Boulevard d’Avroy in Liège. The jeweller was found dead on 16 July at the foot of the Awirs quarry in Flémalle.
In its notice, the police stated that the perpetrator fled in a grey-blue Peugeot 207 with French registration number CR-695-JV. The man was of normal build, had dark hair and a beard. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white polo shirt with small dark patterns, pastel pink Bermuda shorts and sunglasses.
