The WECANDANCE electro festival, which takes place on the seaside beach in Zeebrugge, expects to welcome some 30,000 participants this weekend, the organisation said on Saturday.
This is the second weekend of the event, which is due to enjoy sunny weather. The first weekend of the festival took place last week in rainy conditions. Despite the inclement weather, the event attracted some 28,000 revellers.
“The weather gods seem to be on our side this time as the forecast is for 23 °C, blue skies and plenty of sunshine on both Saturday and Sunday,” enthused the organisers. There will even be sun cream dispensers on the festival site.
The first DJs took to the decks at midday. Satori, Hakimm, Axel Boman and Chamos will be keeping festival-goers dancing well into the night on Saturday. Sunday, meanwhile, will see the likes of Diplo, Zoey Hasselbank, Carista and Emilija present.
