Petrol will be more expensive at the pump from Friday, reaching its highest rate since mid-November last year.

Prices will reach a maximum of €1.918 per litre (+€o.o43) for a full tank of 95 (E10), the FPS Economy has announced.

The maximum price of 98 (E5) petrol, meanwhile, will rise by €o.o34 to €2.139 per litre.

After falling at the end of last week, the maximum price for a litre of diesel (B7) also rose by €o.o23 on Tuesday to reach €1.95 per litre.

The hike in prices results from fluctuations in the quotations of petroleum products and the bio-components inherent in their compositions on international markets.
