Maximum petrol prices will fall at the pump from Wednesday 27 September, according to the Economic Affairs Department.
A litre of 95 RON E5 petrol will now cost a maximum of €1.94 a litre (- €0.034) while the litre of 95 RON E10 petrol will sell at €1.8670 (- €0.051).
Maximum prices for 98 RON E5 and E10 petrol remain above €2 a litre, at €2.1090 (- €0.03) and €2.0780 (- €0.031) respectively.
The Energy Administration is also announcing a reduction in the price of diesel (heating application), to €1.1471 per litre (- €0.017) for amounts under 2,000 litres and €1.1095 per litre (- €0.017) for 2,000 litres and above.
