Applicants for a Category B driving licence can now register on a waiting list, the Autosécurité group announced on Wednesday. This should enable them to obtain an appointment to take their test more quickly.
Since last week, candidates have been able to join a waiting list on the website rendezvous.permisconduire.be. Based on withdrawals, new appointment slots at earlier dates open up and are offered to candidates in the free stream.
In concrete terms, a waitlisted candidate will receive an SMS with a link when an appointment becomes available at the chosen centre before the initially scheduled date.
This message will be valid for one hour and will give access to the appointment proposal page. The proposal will be available for 15 minutes after the candidate has clicked on the link. If the candidate accepts the new appointment, the old one will be automatically cancelled.
If the candidate does not accept the proposed appointment, (s)he will receive two others, each valid for one hour.
If there is no positive response after three proposals, the candidate’s name will be removed from the waiting list.
