A car caught fire and burned out in the Botanique Tunnel in Brussels following an accident on Sunday morning, injuring the driver, according to the Brussels Fire Brigade.
The incident occurred at around 6:45 on Sunday morning.
Under unclear circumstances, a vehicle going towards the Basilica crashed and ended up turning on its roof in the tunnel before catching fire.
"The driver managed to exit the vehicle, perhaps with the aid of bystanders, and was transported to the hospital," Fire Brigade spokesperson Walter Derieuw said. "There were no other casualties."
