WorxInvest, the parent company of HR service provider SD Worx, is now the primary shareholder of European investment firm Gimv.

WorxInvest has acquired the remaining 27.81% stake, valued at €375 million, from the Vlaamse Participatiemaatschappij (VPM), according to a press release issued by Gimv on Thursday evening.

Gimv currently manages around €1.6 billion in investments across approximately 60 companies.

“WorxInvest is an ideal purchaser,” commented Flemish Finance and Budget minister Matthias Diependaele, adding that WorxInvest holds the necessary expertise for such investments and is based in Flanders.

Flemish Prime Minister Jan Jambon also expressed satisfaction at the successful sale of the Flemish government’s shares, emphasising that they are “staying in Flemish hands.”
