A diamond ring valued at €750,000, lost on Friday at the Ritz in Paris, was discovered on Sunday in a vacuum cleaner bag, several French media outlets report.
Late Friday afternoon, a Malaysian customer of the Ritz filed a police complaint. She claimed that she had left early in the morning to shop, and on her return, the ring she had left in her room was missing.
On Sunday, however, the Ritz confirmed that the ring had not been stolen, but had eventually been found in a vacuum cleaner bag.
