The cost of buying a pre-existing property in the third quarter remained unchanged from the previous year, but the prices of newly built ones went up, according to data released on Friday by the Belgian statistics agency, Statbel.
The annual increase in property prices was 1.2%, down from 1.7% in the second quarter. However, there was a significant difference between the inflation rate of existing homes (0%) and that of newly built ones (5.1%).
