Rediscovering Marriott Brussels Grand Place
Rotisse at Marriott Brussels Grand Place

This 4-star haven, offering 222 rooms and a 700m² conference center, has undergone a remarkable transformation, breathing new life into a space with a captivating history.

In the late 19th century, the iconic Theatre de l'Olympia graced this location, transforming into the modern Cinema Ambassador in 1930. Architect Alban Chambon, already famous for designing the Majestic Ostende Royal Theater laid the foundation for the Rue Orts-Paul Devaux building, eventually housing the Marriott Hotel. In 2000, under the visionary guidance of architect Bernard Delware, the theatre transitioned into the luxurious hotel it is today.

The recent 2023 renovations continued the legacy with design brilliance from Bdar & 22degrees. The modern aesthetic pays tribute to Brussels' cultural heritage, featuring Horta lines in the lobby wooden masterpiece. The spirit of the city is also commemorated in the traditional Belgian gastronomy offered at Rotisse, a place inspired from Brussels inhabitants revolution of 1388 following the assassination of Everard t'Serclaes by Sweder of Abcoude, the Lord of Gaasbeek.

Rotisse takes guests onto a culinary journey fusing tradition with innovation. The must-try is the succulent roasted chicken from Dierendonck, Brussels most refined butchery since more than 50 years. Whether enjoyed à la carte, as a Sunday roast, or as a take-away delight, the gastronomic offerings at Rotisse showcase Belgian cuisine at its finest. Chef Jonas Van Laethem extends his expertise to Barcine, a bar/coffee shop where a la carte delights, organic coffees selection, and an extensive wine list showcasing a few of the finest Belgian wines.
