The Wintergloed Festival in Brugge, held from 24 November to 7 January 2024, attracted a record 570,000 visitors, according to organising association Brugge Plus.
This year’s edition showcased ten interactive installations and reached an attendance that exceeded expectations. Alderman Franky Demon, president of Brugge Plus, expressed delight at the turnout.
Visitors praised this edition as being “better than the previous”one, rating it 8.7 out of 10 in a survey.
Despite occasionally problematic weather, only minimal technical issues arose. “Incidents were rare and resolved promptly,” the alderman said.
Buoyed by this edition's success, Brugge Plus is promising an equally “inspiring” Wintergloed festival next winter.
