Netflix welcomed an impressive 13.1 million new subscribers in the final quarter of 2023.
This far exceeded analysts’ predictions and marked the platform’s best quarter since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Netflix now boasts a total membership of 260.3 million, an increase of nearly 13% on last year.
Much of this growth is owed to the company’s decision to combat account sharing, a move that appears to have borne fruit.
Quarterly revenue rose by 12.5% to reach $8.83 billion.
