One of the most intense solar flare eruptions in recent years occurred on Friday, according to NASA, the American space agency.
This eruption could cause disruption to Earth’s navigation and telecommunication systems in the coming days, particularly satellite-based ones.
Since December 2019, a new solar cycle has begun.
Solar activity fluctuates over an approximately 11-year period, featuring intense years abundant with solar flares, and calmer years. Currently, solar activity is nearing its peak.
