Commenting on the importance of R&D, in light of receiving the award, and on its success in Europe, Abraham Liu, Huawei Chief Representative to the EU Institutions said “Huawei started as a small company in China, but we have grown to be a world leader. And we learned from the rest of the world as we grew – from the US and Europe. We believe we can partner with Europe, playing a major role in achieving its’ digital sovereignty by encouraging innovation, promoting and working with European industry, helping it to become the world’s digital leader. And Huawei wants to be even more integrated. That’s why Huawei has decided we wish to set up manufacturing bases in Europe – so that we can truly have 5G for Europe made in Europe.”

The Red Dot Award is one of the world’s most prestigious awards for industrial design. This award is just the latest of a list of honors attached to the Atlas family. Other appraisals include the GSMA GLOMO Awards 2020, where the Atlas 900 was awarded the Tech of the Future Award in recent months.
