“Keeper” gets the Award for Best Film at the Turin Film Festival

“Keeper”, by the Belgian director Guillaume Senez, won the Best Film award, worth 15,000 euros, at the Torino Film Festival in Italy. This was announced by Wallonia Brussels Images on Sunday.

The film already won international critical acclaim at the French-language International Film Festival (FIFF) in Namur, the “Young Talent Award” at Hamburg, and a special mention at the Warsaw Festival.

“Keeper” was produced in Belgium by Iota Productions, with support by the Audiovisual and Cinema Centre, the Brussels Wallonia Federation and the RTBF.

The film tells the story of Maxime (Kacey Mottet-Klein) and Mélanie (Galatea Bellugi), both 15. Mélanie finds out she is pregnant, and Maxime wants to keep the baby at any cost.

It will be released in cinemas on the 6th of January 2016.
