    Mortal remains of queen Fabiola now at Brussels Royal Palace


    The mortal remains of queen Fabiola, who died on Friday at the age of 86, were transferred on Tuesday from the Chateau de Laeken to the Royal Palace in Brussels, revealed the Palace. The cortege arrived shortly before 3:30pm at Place des Palais.

    Queen Fabiola’s funeral will take place on Friday at 10:00am, at the Saints-Michel-et-Gudule cathedral in Brussels. After the ceremony, the mortal remains of the queen will be transferred to the Laeken church, where at 12:00pm a religious service will be held which will be open to the public. Until that time, people can pay their respects to their former queen on Wednesday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, and on Thursday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, at the Royal Palace.
