Anti-terrorist units will get 150 extra officers, the Home Affairs Minister Jan Jambon (New Flemish alliance) said in an interview with La Dernière Heure, which will be published on Wednesday. “Staff will be distributed among the new anti-terrorist units that will be put in place in all the large cities. We will have a single centralised unit in Brussels, as we have now. All the large cities will have their own units”, said Catherine De Bolle, general commissioner for the federal police, who also spoke to the paper.
The police’s key anti-terrorism tasks are currently being discussed. They will be laid out in a plan that will be finalised before the summer, says Jan Jambon.
