The daughter of Amedeo and his wife Elisabette (Lili) has been named Anna Astrid, the Prince told the press when he left the maternity ward on Friday afternoon, the palace has revealed.
The couple left the maternity ward of the Saint-Pierre hospital in Brussels at around 16.00 on Friday. “This is very new for us, we are a little nervous. It’s fantastic”, the Prince said. “A new life has started”.
Anna Astrid was born at 3.30 on Tuesday. She is the royal couple’s first child.
