A record high of 16.8°C was registered in Uccle at 2.00 p.m. on Thursday. The hottest 15 November before that was in 2006, when a high of 15.2°C was recorded, according to meteorologist David Dehenauw.

The temperature could increase on this sunny Thursday but will drop from Friday.

Early next week will be markedly colder, with temperatures close to zero at nights. However, the weather will remain dry.
