The meal delivery platform Deliveroo is to collaborate with a dozen or so hotels in Belgium, with a view to offering room service on demand. Deliveroo says that this offer, called “Deliveroom”, has already been tested in a Brussels hotel and “is a real success.” It enables hotel guests to access dishes offered by the various restaurant chains within given localities, through the meal delivery platform.
Deliveroo stresses in a communiqué, “For the smallest hotels, having room service necessitates significant means, as much in terms of finances as logistics (fitting and on-going maintenance of kitchens), and the workforce for potential orders.”
Ultimately, Deliveroo’s objective is to extend its room service offering to more than 25 hotels in Belgium.
