The Nieuw-Vlaamse Alliantie (N-VA) and Open Vld on Tuesday re-elected the leaders of their groups in the Flemish parliament.
Matthias Diependaele will continue to head the N-VA group, as he has done since 2013, while Open Vld chose former Flemish Prime Minister Bart Somers as its group leader, a post the Mechelen mayor had also held in the previous legislature.
The Flemish parliamentarians will be sworn in on Tuesday 18 June.
