The first e-scooter accident took place in Brussels on 16 April. The accident took place in Haren in the north-east of Brussels. The victim, a man aged 41 years old was found seriously injured on Chaussée d'Haecht.
He was taken to hospital in a critical state and his life could not be saved. No other person was involved or injured.
“The police intervened to find out what had happened. After reviewing video footage, it was found that the victim had his accident alone,” confirmed Brussels prosecutor’s office.
