American pizza giant Papa John’s may be considering entering the Belgian market, reveals a press release broadcast by the fast food chain on Tuesday. Papa John's is the third largest pizza restaurant chain in the world; its first French restaurant will open early in 2016. The group eventually hopes to open 38 restaurants in the north-east of France.
Papa John’s move to France is part of a wider European growth strategy. “Papa John's would like to develop franchising in other regions in France, as well as in the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Belgium,” says the press release.
The company is based in Louisville (Kentucky, USA) and has 4,500 restaurants in 40 countries.
