The Belgian justice department is investigating fixed tennis matches

The federal Prosecutor’s office is looking into major fraud involving fixed matches in international tennis, De Tijd and L’Echo said on Saturday.

Hundreds of suspicious bets have been discovered in Belgium alone. The bets were on matches in the international “Challenger” and “Futures” tournaments, which feature players just below the world’s best.

The papers claim the fixed matches took place last year and this year. The players involved are within the top 300 in the world.
