British rock band Oasis have announced their return to live performances with a series of concerts during the summer of 2025, the BBC reports. This eagerly anticipated tour will include stops in London, Manchester, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Dublin.
The Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, who have been estranged since 2009, hinted at an Oasis-related announcement in a social media post earlier this week, sparking rumours of a reunion for the iconic Britpop band.
In a coordinated move on social media, the brothers simultaneously shared an 11-second clip late Sunday night, accompanied by a single message: “27/08/24. 8am”. The announcement comes on the 30th anniversary of the group's debut album 'Definitely Maybe'.
The band has long been the subject of speculation, with the relationship of the Gallagher brothers receiving frequent media scrutiny. Famously fractious, the two became almost performatively argumentative in interviews, though Noel quit the band in 2009, saying he couldn't go on working with his brother.
The remaining members of Oasis (without Noel) continued until 2014 under the moniker Beady Eye. Since then both Noel and Liam have performed in their own side projects.
It is expected that the band will make millions from the comeback.
