Hidden Belgium: The most beautiful chocolate shop in Belgium

When Dominique Persoone opened The Chocolate Line in Bruges, locals were initially shocked by his use of ingredients like smoked eel, fried bacon and cauliflower. But then Mick Jagger dropped by, and people changed their opinion.

His second shop takes up two beautiful rooms in a former royal palace on Antwerp’s Meir once occupied by Napoleon’s brother.

The chocolates are sold in an elegant room decorated with 18th-century wall paintings, and the ancient tiled kitchen is now a chocolate workshop where new tastes are created.
