The second season of the French series Braqueurs has been available on Netflix since mid-February, and those paying close attention may have spotted a familiar scene in the show: the Brussels Metro network.

In season two of the Francophone series, the main characters Medhi, Liana and Tony try to leave Belgium, but an enemy makes them join forces with former rivals. As the story is set in Belgium, the Brussels 'Diamant' tram stop was used as a backdrop for several scenes during the show.

On Twitter, Brussels public transport company STIB proudly announced that the scenes were filmed on its network, but immediately warned people not to repeat it in real life.

"A stunt scene from season 2 of the Netflix series 'Braqueurs' was filmed on our (pre)metro network," STIB said. "Don't forget: movies remain movies. Nothing is what it seems. Better not to imitate that."

The French series was created by Hamid Hlioua and Julien Leclercq, and is based on the 2015 film of the same name. It tell the story of a seasoned bank robber who, in an attempts to protect his family from a drug lord, gets caught up in a merciless turf war and drags his crew down with him.

The series stars French actors Sami Bouajila, Tracy Gotoas, Samuel Jouy, Salim Kechiouche, Nabiha Akkari and Carlos Schram, as well as well-known Flemish actor Geert Van Rampelberg.
