Over 8,000 people have gathered in Brussels today to protest against health measures, the Covid Safe Ticket and a possible upcoming vaccine obligation.

The protest that time was accompanied with violence and unrest. Protesters hope that this time around the protest will go smoothly. Police have deployed resources in case of unrest.

"We want a democratic and non-dictatorial approach to this crisis," a spokesperson for the organizers said. "The measures taken, such as the Covid Safe Ticket, are contrary to our fundamental rights. The virus is not under control, but the population is."

The march started at 1 pm today, and the demonstrators headed towards the Cinquantenaire parc. Firefighters and nurses are also participating, many of whom are worried about a possible upcoming obligatory vaccination.
