The Royal Meteorological Institute, IRM, issued on Sunday a new yellow alert for slippery conditions in many Belgian regions, except the provinces of Liège, Namur and Luxembourg, Belga news agency reports.

IRM said the warning was valid for the period between 3 am to 11.00 am on Monday.

“After midnight and after the development of some clear skies, freezing fog could form, mainly in the north and centre of the country,” the Institute said.

“Sheets of frost could make the roads slippery in some places,” it added.
