Local police in Fourons in the province of Limburg have intercepted a French driver under the influence of cocaine and heroin after his nervous behaviour caught officers’ attention.

Just after midnight on Monday, the police stopped the French-registered vehicle.

A positive drug test result for cocaine and heroin led to the driver’s licence being suspended for 15 days. The motorist could not provide a credible explanation for the €16,000 in cash found during a thorough search of the vehicle, prompting the police to confiscate the money.

An investigation is underway.
