After authorities investigated a bomb threat against a plane at Brussels Airport, the matter was resolved and the plane was released.
“The checks by the federal police have been completed,” Brussels Airport said in a press release.
The threat came in on Thursday evening for a plane coming from Riga, the capital of Latvia, and destined for Brussels Airport.
Special landing zone due to bomb threat
The aircraft, an Air Baltic Airbus 220, arrived at Brussels Airport shortly before 18:00 but was guided to a remote corner of the airport after landing due to the bomb threat.
The passengers, the cargo and the plane itself were thoroughly checked before ultimately being released.
All services at the airport remained operational the whole time.
