Belgian fugitive on Most Wanted list arrested in Greece

On Monday 20 June, a fugitive on Belgium’s Most Wanted list was arrested in Greece on Monday, June 20.

Nicolas Theodorou, the 50-year-old Belgian, was apprehended by Greek authorities in the southern Peloponnese region of Greece.

The Nivelles-born fugitive was sentenced to 25 years in jail for the 1999 attempted murder of two car dealers in the Wallonia municipality of Hensies.

Theodorou will now be extradited to Belgium, 17 years after his initial sentencing.

This is the second time this year a fugitive from the Most Wanted list has been arrested by police.
