A video is circulating on social media showing an unidentified person riding a scooter along the arch of a bridge which goes across the Albert canal in the Limburg province of Flanders.

The video, taken by a passerby, shows a person riding down the bridge arch with a scooter and safely reaching the ground while a group of others is watching at the bottom of the bridge.

"The bridge is very high. It is extremely dangerous to perform such stunts. You are not only endangering yourself, but you are also setting a bad example for others," Lilianne Stinissen of the Vlaamse Waterweg (Flemish Waterway Agency) said on Flemish radio.

"Be sure not to imitate this."

According to Sven Ongena, who took the video and posted it on Facebook, the person just walked up the arch with the scooter before riding down. Another video taken by the person on the scooter was shown on TikTok for a while, but has now been taken offline.

The police were quickly notified, but when they arrived at the bridge, the group had already left.
