Belgium will have a pleasant weekend, weather-wise. On Saturday, especially, there will be plenty of sunshine and maximum temperatures between 19 and 24 degrees.

The weather will remain sunny and warm until Saturday evening. During the night, more low clouds will appear from the North Sea, with minimum temperatures fluctuating between 7 and 11 degrees, the Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI) reports.

Sunday will remain dry as well, but with more clouds than Saturday, except in the province of Luxembourg. Maximum temperatures will range from 13 to 18 degrees.

From Monday, the weather will start cooling down, with frequent showers, more wind and even sometimes some thunder. In most regions, the RMI still expects wide clear skies on Monday morning, rain clouds will make their way from the coast to the rest of the country.

Occasional thunder is even possible as well. Between the showers, however, there will be some nice clearings. Maximum temperatures will be between 5 and 9 degrees in the southern parts of the country, and around 10-11 degrees in most other areas.

Southwest winds will increase to quite strong ones as well, with gusts that may briefly even reach 90 kilometres per hour.

On Friday, the RMI summarises the weather as "changeable," with cloud fields, brief clear skies and with showers, although they will seem less intense and less frequent than the days before. Next Saturday, the RMI expects cloudy weather with light rain.
