Saturday afternoon will remain cold, peppered with showers, throughout Belgian territory. Maximum temperatures will vary between 5 and 11 degrees, according to the Royal Meteorological Institute.

Showers will persist into the evening and overnight, potentially turning into snow in high Ardenne. Night-time temperatures will plunge from 7 to -2 degrees.

On Sunday morning, clouds of rain will sweep the country from north to south. The weather will turn drier as the morning progresses, with clear spells spreading from the Netherlands.

Highs will range between 6 degrees in the High Fens and 10-12 degrees elsewhere.

Monday will see changeable cloudiness with the chance of a shower, and high temperatures of 4 to 11 degrees.

As the week continues, showers will increase in frequency, with highs of 10 degrees in the centre, before a more pronounced increase in temperature next weekend.

Maximum temperatures are forecast to vary between 12 to 15 degrees next weekend.
