A Belgian couple living in Tenerife has been missing for several days. The man and the woman were last seen almost one week ago.
A search notice has been posted for Laura Trappeniers, a 66-year-old woman, and 71-year-old Marc Olbrechts on the website of the Spanish National Centre for Missing People (CNDES). Both disappeared from Adeje, a town in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The two were last seen on 22 April and the search warrant followed two days later, on 24 April. According to the report, Trappeniers is around 1.65 metres tall, weighs around 70 kg, and has blue eyes and grey hair. Olbrechts is around 1.75 metres tall and weighs 70 kg too. He has green eyes and grey hair.
Their car, a blue Opel Mokka with a Spanish license plate, has also disappeared.
On social media, friends of the couple are appealing for information about them. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is aware of the disappearance.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Brussels and the Belgian consulate in Tenerife are following this case closely and are in contact with the other competent Spanish and Belgian authorities on this matter," a spokesperson said. Since this is an individual case, it is not commenting further.
