Yellow and Blue garbage bags have not been collected this week in certain parts of Brussels, and will not be for the remainder of the week, service provider Bruxelles Propreté announced.

In the face of staff shortages in its collection and cleaning services, the announcement was made that blue bags (PMC packaging) will not be collected on Monday 30, Tuesday 31 March and Wednesday 1 April in the communes where these bags are normally collected on those days.

The regional agency also announces that yellow bags (paper and cardboard) will not be collected on Wednesday 1, Thursday 2 and Friday 3 April in the communes where these bags are normally collected on those days.

As such, Bruxelles Propreté is asking residents to keep their bags until service returns to normal.

For white, orange and green bags, the collection will proceed as usual.

For other garbage, the collection service for large items (via a phone reservation line) is still functional, and containers for glass are still operational.
