Railway company puts up office complexes in Brussels for sale
The Atrium, one of three SNCB office complexes up for sale.

Belgium's national railway company, the SNCB, is looking for a buyer for three huge office complexes at the Gare du Midi, L'Echo daily reported on Friday.

The railway operator recently put the office complexes up for sale on its real estate website. They represent a total surface area of about 150,000 m².

They include the France-Bara complex, opposite the international station, which consists of twelve buildings, including workshops and depots, with a combined floor space of about 73,000 m2.

The triangular Atrium office building on boulevard de la Porte de Hal has almost 50,000 m2 of floor space on 15 floors.

Finally, two connected office buildings located next to the railroad tracks, Delta-Zennewater, offer a total floor space of 27,000 m2.

The sale is a consequence of SNCB's ambitious - but slow - new headquarters project. The railway company wants to renovate the former postal sorting office on the other side of the station, on rue Fonsny, to house all its employees working in the capital.
